Attendees of the Direct-Recruit Initial Waiver training classes offered by The Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities (FCBDD) receive a handbook containing relevant Ohio Department Of Developmental Disabilities rules for quick reference when clarifying certification and compliance issues.

Rules and Laws

Rules and Laws refer to the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) that governs how services are to be provided and carried out within the developmental disabilities system in Ohio. All independent providers, staff of agency providers, county boards and state department employees are subject to the requirements of these Rules and Laws.

Visit The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities website for a full list of rules and laws in effect.

Note: The FCBDD Office of Provider Relations may be accessed to clarify rule language, or provide interpretations, to rules that may be unclear to a provider.  Otherwise, we may direct inquiries to the appropriate FCBDD, or DODD staff, for more qualified technical assistance.
